Due to the Medicare rebate and bulk billing incentive being behind inflation, we unfortunately have no option than to Private charge all our Patients, regardless of age.
We also charge privately for Skin Procedures and Nurse appointments for all patients regardless of concession status. This move towards affordable medicine rather than completely government subsidised medicine will ensure that we can be here for you for the long haul.
At Swansea Channel Doctors, we offer telehealth consultations when clinically appropriate. While telehealth can be a convenient way to access care, face-to-face consultations remain our preferred and primary method of practice, as nothing can fully replace the value of in-person medical assessment and connection.
Telehealth consultations attract the same fees as face-to-face appointments. Medicare rebates for telehealth are available only to patients who have attended our surgery in person within the past 12 months, in accordance with Medicare requirements.
We encourage patients to attend in person whenever possible to ensure the highest quality of care.
